I love to play with new ideas, quite often they don't work out, but now and then they become something great. Making new and original things not only pushes my knowledge to its limit and is a great way to learn new ways, but sometimes they turn into something worthwhile, which is even more rewarding.

Here are some of my favourite projects:

ARC-Match
match.arc-stuff.net March 2007 - November 2008
As one of many approaches to problem caused by the official ARC Match game lobbies being down, I took the opportunity to create a web based version.

The idea was simple, server hosts would register their server IP and Port, from which I could grab the rest of the info and check if the server is up. Then I was to use URL launchers to launch the game.

With the release of Spark, I have put this on the back burner. The source is available to anyone who is interested by contacting me.

Ajax, CSS, Javascript, XHTML, VB
My favourite javascript playground, whilst ARC was busy dying I thought I'd see if I could re-make it in Javascript.

The textbox you see at the bottom is intended to recieve data from the server (via Ajax) to make it multiplayer.

Textify
www.textify.co.uk June 2006 - December 0
Textify will allow you to text in commands from your mobile phone and recieve an appropriate reply.
For example, you can text in a word and get a definition, or a translation. Send an email, and even manage your calender.

YouQue.net
www.YouQue.net August 2008 - December 0
Frustrated by the lack of a decent playlisting feature on YouTube I started YouQue.net to let me create playlists.

It's a work in progress and a wonderful chance for me to play around with JS interfaces and YouTube API.

Javascript, Ajax, YouTube API
Quickly search for the same query on different engines.

I plan to make this cache the results for all engines, so switching between is much quicker.

HTML, Javascript
Playing around with Ajax for the first time I made this. It dosen't do much, but would be easy enough to expand.
